Week 3 -Activity 2 : My Diary Entry

Hello bloggers, How are you? . Today I was scrolling through the page to see which post I was going to do for the Summer learning Journey. I wanted to to something I would write in my diary , about something nobody else really knows , but mine is a twist, it was aloud to be fake it said in the options it is aloud to be fake , So mine is fake .

I made mine about a war and It was really cool writing it with lots of description in the story.

Week 1 Activite 2 : Defying the odds - Summer learning Journey

Hello bloggers , For My Summer Learning Journey I have choose to do My dream Job so I will explain what is is. So my dream job is to be apart of the Silver Ferns Netball Team I just love playing netball and I think I can be better and get up to the level that I am a silver fern .Silver ferns give up there time to go to netball games and leave their families and go across the world to play games to try to win. The silver ferns there enemies are Australia they could never beat them and now when they won the world cup they finally beat them and they felt so proud of there self and they'd could  go home and show their friends and family to show what they'd have achieved.

I have written about my things reasons I want to bed a silver fern hear it is.

Lifting a tree.

Hello bloggers, 

Today I am am blogging about three different things we have been doing (well what we have done). First I will start off with  lifting the tree , so we were lifting a tree because it had fell down and we did not want the younger kids play with it and get injured if it get dropped on their fingers.It was a really long tree that had fallen down and it was really heavy down the big end  of the trunk because of the weight. We got lots of help to lift the tree we put it by the staff car park for the army trucks to come into our school.

Activity 2: Exploring Our Roots

Or New Game Crossover

Hi bloggers, Today I am blogging about the new game Crossover.It is a new game that we get if we complete all of our work for the day. What you do is  you have team and you have to get to the other side but your hole team has to get there first but you can get tagged by the other team then you have to sit down, there is also a  safe zone that you can stand in to be safe and you can stay in there as long as you want . The team that gets to the other side first wins.

I BECOME A PERSONAL TRAINER!!!!!!

Hello bloggers, Today I am Blogging aobut Me being a personal trainer for a day . So we do not have our teachers with hs becuase they are in wellington with the year 7/8s but we are at school.We are doing bonus stuff where we have to complete Reading , Maths, Writing,Artifacts, and something else . You have to complete that to get bonus time at the end of the day if you don't complete it then you have to finish the work.I have got a piece of writing to show you on the career on what I chose  this week here it is.

5:40am I am waking up now and ready to go and teach my daily person this morning, I am getting dressed, my name is Olivia and im a Personal Trainer, I ma going to brush my teeth and I am going to make my kids lunches.I have made my kids lunches and now I ma going to wake them up. 6:30am I am getting in the car ready to go to drop my kids off at school.

6:40am I dropped my kids off now it is time to go to work . I started work now I'm getting ready to train my scheduled person , I check my phone to see who I  have got for today and I had a look and then walked out of the cloke rooms. 

7:20am, I have started to look for the person I am training and I found that person and I was ready to train them . I started off with some cross punches , then we did some boxing to build the muscles ,Then we did some running around the building build the bone and the fat around the bottom of  the leg, Next we did some burpees , push ups, and press ups.We did some sand bags lifting to build up strength , Rope lifting to build ability.

12:00pm it is my lunch time so I go into my bag and grab my lunch I made in the morning to have something eat then I have to go down  to the park and do a boot camp, that is just something that you do the same thing but with more than 1 person so I have a big group of people coming down about 7 people and then we change things after each activite. First activite is Rope lifting, then Chest punching, then Boxing, after that running, weight lifting,Sandbags, Next, Sand balls. All of the people move around those activities then when they are finished they have a break and do it again.

3:00 pm Doing my second to last person to train , I am doing the same kind of things before with the boot camp and I will be finished my shift. 5:00pm I  have finished my shift now i have to go home to my family. 5:20pm I am home now I am going to get my kids dinner then I will get into my other clothes to go  to bed to have an early night .

6:30pm time for me to get a good rest for tomorrow's early shift so I will not be late.

That was my day routine being a Personal Trainer.

Novel Books her I come

Hello bloggers, Today I am blogging about novel study, So for the past 7 weeks we have been doing Novel study, so it is basically reading a novel and then you have to write about it with questions about each chapter and adding in verbs for each chapter and all of the other things that are known.

I have worked hard to finish it nad I have finally finished it , I am proud of myself.

Panto Pandemonium

Hello bloggers, Today I am blogging about Panto ,So We are doing panto at the end of the year or end of year assembly. My part is Dwarf one From Snow white and I am excited becuase I like the song that all of the dwarfs have to sing in sounds cool.
So basically a Panto is something where there is lots of plays and musicals in it it is Fun!!.

Pet Time!

Hello bloggers, Today I am blogging about pet day.If you don't know what Pet day is it is where my school has bake sales and pets get brung by parents of kids , we do sand sculptures and vegetable sculptures.the pets get judged,we do games with our house colours.


At the start of the day we had to get all of my stuff ready to make our sculpture  of our choice either Vegetable and( fruit),or sand Sculpture .I choose to do a Vegetable one because there was something cool I wanted to do.I had got into starting my sculpture I wanted to make an octopus out of an banana and other things to add for accessories around the octopus.
List of what you need to make the Sculpture:
Banana (for octopus),Lettuce ( For seaweed),Grapes (for suckers),Kumaru( for rocks),vivid ( for mouth),raisins ( For Eyes).

I had put that all together and make a sea themed Sculpture. I had finished making is and I had to fill out what it was and what class I was in and my name I had to put it by my sculpture. For it to get judged , We put them in another room to get them judged with the other classes ones. I blogged about something after I had finished.

It got to the time where we got ot sit down and watch the hobby horses race so some people did not bring one only some people did, That finished then we had someone from our school  Bridget did some horse tricks to show on her horse form her house ( it was REAL).She did some cool tricks and we watched her.

We were about to have break time then we did . We had to get number written on our hands ot do sports in our house colours. We got all done and moved on to the games. Teh games were : Gumboot throw, habales jump, wheat cups,zigzag,tire moving,sack racing. We did all those then it was time for the pets to come ot school!!!.

All of the parents were coming to  bring pets from home to share with the school my mum brung a turtle from her work and we got some photos from some of that stuff. There was people coming round to judge ot pet you brung , you would get a certificate to show what your pet was sadn your name was and what was good about that pet.

It got ot the end of the day and they put out a PTA bake sale to sell some stuff to the children and parents if you brung money for it I got some money from my mum to buy something for my brother and me also my mum. They were also selling ice blocks because it was really hot in the afternoon.

It got to the end of the day and then before you know it the Pet day was over .

The A&P Show!!!

Hello bloggers,today I am blogging about the A&P show , So we went to the A&P show for a class visit. We got paired up into groups with like 5 people or 3 people, we would be normally paired up with someone that you would normally play with then we would not be annoyed walking around with people you do not really want to be in a group that you don't want to be in. If you do not know what A&P show is , It is a farm show that shows lots of farm animals and lots of farm tractors equipment you would use around a farm.

How my day Started:
So I got ready in the morning because I had to be a school by 8:45 am and we had to get into a groups,I got into my group I had  Jorja ,Lucy,Max ,And me also  check out there blogs out I will leave a link below.

We got into our groups to get ready to go into the parent help persons car( it was my Mum) , we went there it was about
20 mins  to get there from our school. We got out of the car and got all ready to go there. At that point it was cold not very cold but still a little bit cold,  My group went over to the gate to wait for all the other groups to arrive at the gate. We walked over to the ladie to scan the papers to make sure that we could go in then we grabbed a map and walked off the the stalls. There was a big food truck that had Candy floss,hot dogs,chips,slushies and lots of other things that I cannot remember.


We walked past all of the boring stuff like the tractors I did not like looking at them and the rest of the group didn't ethier, we got up to the animal part where we saw cows,goats,sheep,lamb,chickens,horses,bunnies,birds,roasters,guinea pigs. I looked at those they were really cute and cool.

We finished going to that part and the dog show was about to begin , if you don't know what a dog show is it is a place where someone with a microphone has someone to take the dog do tricks and the lady who does the dog commands has to do the things that lady said in the microphone. WHen that was finished we moved on to the next thing.


We walked over to the food stall to have some food because I was really hungry  to have some chips, I used some of my money to get some and the rest of my group got some food to.Then we moved on to the next thing,The Motor cross which I was fine with I didn't hate it I Didn't mind it it was just a little bit boring,they had to go up hills and then over rocks ,then throw a cave ,up a wall.We moved onto the next thing which was St John tent, they showed CPR to the dummies. There was also lots of stickers ,tattoos( fake ones) there were dice there were 3 of them you had to roll 111 on all of them then you would get a prize , then you could spin a wheel to get you a prize or spin again. Then you could go over to the dummies and then bump their stomachs to do CPR then you would get a prize form doing it .

Then  it was about lunch time then we had to meet with the class at the horse gathering to eat lunch and  watch the horses practise it was cool just watching the horses do there practise and jump over the obstacles then they would finish. It got tp the end of the day we started to look around at some stuff and get a ice cream because it got really hot so we had an ice cream to cool us of a little bit. I really wanted to go to the carnival area but we weren't allowed to go there.

We started to get ready to go to leave to go back to school to drop everybody else off at school.
I had a really fun day at the A&P show I would love to go back again.

My Favorite Movie ( Home Learning)

Hello bloggers, I decided today , I wanted to blog ao but something on my home learning list. I did What is my favourite movies but this was hard for me because I don't really have a favourite movie but I just picked on of the ones I liked to watch a lot so yeah. i t was back to the Future I like because basically all of my family watch it nad I like how it is kind of magic how that doors lift up like an upside down for getting opened. So that is what I as blogging about.

YMS goes to Town!

Hello bloggers, Today I am blogging about our whole School Going To TOWN!. So we gotta to go to town to the Town Hall to see a concert and going to the Margaret Mahy Playground and we played there. In the Morning we were there at 8:45 on the dot to get ready to go on the busses to Town. We all got on the bus , When we arrived at the Town Hall we got in a line and waited till the rest of the school got there.

We walked inside and got told to go to door 20 and then we walked in there and sat down. The band started playing some songs and some songs that would make us dance around but we did not get out of our seats. We had finished all of the songs and we then went out ot the hall and waited for all of the rest of the school.

Then we walked out to walk out the Margaret Mahy Playground to PLAY!. We got there we had a play then the whistle blow and we had to get on the bus and go back to school to have 3 hour rest of the day to do some work.

Choir time!

Hello bloggers,Today I am blogging about Choir if you do not know what choir is, it is kind of like oprea and we sing all these songs in like a really high pitch voice .

We went to the Christchurch Town Hall that has been rebuilt.We went there for about 8 songs I think and we sung them all but in the middle of singing all of the songs the instruments players would do about 2 of there speachial songs without the hole choir singing  with all of the instruments playing at the same time. Also there was A junior Choir and a Senior Choir where they would  sing in separate Junior Choir sing there songs first the then Senior Choir .

We had a little break in between Festival to just go toilet and get a drink of water before we started up again. 

Everybody's parents came (well most of them) and they all watched us ,took photos of us to.When we did a kapa haka song then we had a kapu haka group come and do the actions to the song we sung for them so that was another part about it.

At the end of the night we had some bad news the Man that was in Charge of the Festival he retired from the  Festival in Choir Because he wanted to spend more time with his family so know there is a lady called  Rachel Wilston she is going to be in Charge now so that is what happend. 

The festival finished at about 9:20 pm at night and then we finished and we left out the door it was really busy there so we had to stay together in a line so nobody would get lost. I will list all of the songs down below .And I got some photos.

Defenders team flag ( ghost)

Hello bloggers, Today I am blogging about ghost and the Defenders team flag . So for one of the activities for Ghost was that you had to make a Defenders team flag to see what you thought it looked like. So I made one with my friend on a google drawing and took a screenshot of it and put it into the ghost slides. Hello bloggers, Today I am blogging about  Ghost shared story , So if you do not know what that is it is are shared story for the class that we started reading it at the start of the term. It turns out it is a pretty interesting book. What I like about it is that it has a lot of drama like there is something happening around the area. I think the book ghost would be more likely to be read by people who are into running  and sports. If you have already read it then comment what you liked about it and why?. In our reading time we had to have a slide where we would have a day to write a bit about it in the slide like vocabulary and questions about the story.

Street Art.

Hello bloggers, How are You?. I am blogging about Street art that we have been working on in the past few weeks at school. We have been studying arts based on Banksy and Keith haring.We have filled in workbooks about street art we looked at some photos on Keith and Banksy . When we went through all of the slides and filled them in . At the end we have to create our own street art on a piece of paper inspired by Keith Haring or Bansky so I choose Keith Haring because he has a lot of action and characters in the art and great big colours. But banksy does like portraits of people and not much colour to it.

Wild Eyes (Website)

Hello bloggers,How are you ? . Today I am blogging about Wild eyes . We have been looking at a site called wild eyes they have lots of different missions for you to do with family and friends. So every tuesday well the year 7/8,s go to manual we do wild eyes. We have worked through our first mision and write it down on our chromebooks . My New School Uniform.

Speed dating a book.

Hello Bloggers, Today I am blogging about speed dating a book. So if you do not know what that is it is so it is where we have heaps of books all over the tables and you have music on and you have to walk around the tables and when the music stops you have to pick up a book and look at it and then you have a 1 min to read it and then you write on your piece of paper to say what the title is and the author and then your first impression for the book and a bit what it is about the you give a out of 5 star rating. You would only have to look at five books  and fill in thed sheet.I choose the book Hatchet it is about survival and this little boy.

My Future House

Math Is Super Cool!

Hello bloggers, Today I am blogging about Maths is Super cool as you can see by the title. I have shown a person In my family how to do some kind of math that you have learnt in class and I had to teach them how to do that so I did Chunking Method and she did it .I decided to do this on a canva I was going to do a video but I did not want to put it on my blog for everyone to see so I did it on a canva soit explains what question I did .

Speech time.

Hello bloggers, Today I have got a blog about speech finals it was on Thursday The 22nd of August 2019 it was  really spectacular everybody speaks loud and clearly. One of my friends got into the finals so she got 2nd place. There was 3 in each age group year 1 ,year 2 ,year 3 ,year 4 ,year 5 ,year 6 ,year 7 ,year 8 and that is it. They are all great speackers.
My friend thought that maybe she could improve on her time and how loud she needs to speak so we can all hear her.

Are Processes

Hi bloggers, today I am blogging about are process with building. What I mean by building is that we made a bridge out of Popsicle sticks with tape and string but it has to be a certain amount of all of those things. 100 Popsicle sticks and a bit of tap and string. . We choose to do playtime bridge Photograph or Baby time and more.  What ? design would you choose and why ?.There is something about it we had to finish our math slides which we have finished. Me and Jorja are working on our bridge and we have got the bottom and a side . All of the Popsicle are colorful and cool. I think that me and Jorja made a great start to our bridge.
