Saying Goodbye to Yaldhurst Model School

Hey everyone, It is Olivia.

So as you can see form the title I am saying goodbye to Yaldhurst School  well I am not leaving today I am leaving this Friday to my new school.

I am leaving becuase I have to go to a school closer to my house so that it is in the area bye my mums work and easy for us ot got to a school closer.I wanted to share some memories with you guys what is was like at Yaldhurst School and what it is going to be like for my blogging.I took the photo before the lockdown so that is why me and my friends are together.

My army Newspaper collage!

Today I am going to share with you my art I have done well doing online distancing.So we are going to get right into it .

BEFORE YOU KEEP READING!

You can make you own! with the simple instructions I am going to give you!.

(You may need to ask for parents help).

So first you will need some Newspaper, then a glues stick, a pile of dirt, a piece of paper, a cut out army soldier, adn this it the part for the parents a lighter to light the edges of the paper when it is done.

Instructions: So you are going to start by gluing the army soldier onto the paper it need to be a A3 paper or if oyu want it to be smaller oyu can use A4 paper it doesn't really matter, So you are going to do that next step you are going to rip up some newspaper and stick little bits around the soldier so you don't get paper of the soldier so it looks clear,so you not have to glue it on fully but around the soldier you need to glue it down properly so it doesnt pull of when you are putting it in the dirt.

So next you are going to Rip big pieces of newspaper and stick it around the paper to make all of the white not show( when you are doing this try not to use coloured newspaper so it looks better and older without colour). So before you move on from gluing the newspaper you need to go over the newspaperwith more so it doesn't look light and there is no white spaces left. 

Then you need to go and get oyu pile of dirt and sprinkle it all of the newspaper and rub it all over the paper to make it look really dirty. Then you have done that you get your parents to light the edges of the paper and then they rub the fire so it doesn't burn the hole paper you go round the full border of the artwork  with little burnt holes.

That is the end!

How My online distancing is going ! ( Part 2 )

Sorry I haven't been blogging but I am finally doing Part 2 , so let's get into it !

So for Part two this is the writing part and I would love to share it with you,so for writing this week we have been doing this anzac day workbook(  we started it last week ) So i would love to show oyu a picture of some stories I have done on the topics.
So how it works we  have 5 different topics and we choose one each day and you have at least do all of the topics not just one , in the topics there are activities and you do one every day for 8 days , so I am going to show you 2 of my stories.

How my Online Distance learning is going! ( Part 1 )

Hello everyone, It is your girl Olivia .

I hope you day is going good well it is quarantine.

INTRODUCTION

Today as you can see by my title I am going to be sharing what kind of learning I have been doing in the past 2 /half days,so first off I have been doing most of the normal stuff like reading,writing , maths, and a little bit of art mixed with math.

READING

So I will start off with reading for reading I did Read Theory so basically read theory is a reading app where you can do quizzes that are around your type of reading level, so if you are wondering how they know your level they do this, you have to do a quiz of or a couple to see how what your level is.

Next Newsela .

So Newsela is another reading app but it does not have quizzes it has stories about all different things around the world. So you can get your teachers cna login to as teachers and they can give you assignments to do on some stories. So on each story you get to read it then you have power words writing and also a little quiz about it , so for the part of it you have to write the best thing that author did in the story.For the quiz it is just a 4 question quiz so it is not to long, then there is another one that's 10 questions long.

MATH

Next is Mathletics.

So this is a Maths app that you can get, if you looked at my last post you saw that I found this app , (well my teachers did) but getting back to it. If you didn't see it then her is some info about it.

It is a app that is about maths so if you thought that maths was always our if you like maths then you would it even if you do not love math you would still love it. So basically it is Maths game that you have an avatar you can change also you go against people in the whole wide world, even in your class, in your school if some of you classes in your school have it. 

 You can play different kind of games but my class has been doing live mathletics and then you earn points if you win a game or if you even lose a game you get points into your weekly jar. 

You also get assigned tasks from your teachers like if you need to focus on some problem solving then your teachers put assigned task on there,but if oyu don't finish your assigned task you don't get to go on live mathletics till you complete  your task it will lock all the other games from working becuase they will not be unlocked till you finish, also they have date that they have to be due bye and if you do not finish them they get put into next weeks assigned task.

Every heard of something fun to do with maths well I have!

Shalom Everyone, So if you are wondering by the title I have found something that is revolving around maths I was unbelievable when I heard it too. Stay tuned to find out what is it is. 

So as you guys might know I don't like maths , I am quite good at it but just not the best at it. SO then the teachers found something and it is so fun and it involves math.Here is the name

  Mathletics 

So that's what the name is , now I am going to tell you about it down below
